Construction Field Specialist - Aviation Facilities

Position Overview

This role involves providing senior-level inspection or construction field work to ensure compliance with engineering/architectural plans and specifications. The Construction Field Specialist supervises project staff, monitors contractor activities, and may serve as a site interface among clients, company personnel, and contractors. Responsibilities may include serving as an assistant to the Resident Engineer on large or complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, document, and verify ongoing work to ensure adherence to schedules, contract documents, and plans.
• Advise contractors on necessary actions for conformance with plans and specifications.
• Review and resolve quantity disputes with contractors.
• Perform sophisticated calculations, constructability reviews, and measurements of completed work.
• Assist with review and verification of daily reports, material testing, and record drawings.
• Support contract close-out documentation, schedule reviews, and change order management.
• Participate in project meetings and serve as a technical field expert.
• Lead and mentor team members as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field with 10 years relevant experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field with 8 years relevant experience, or
• 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience on site/civil and architectural projects.
• Ability to obtain an Airport Security Badge.

Additional Requirements

• Experience with civil/site work inspection, reporting, and vertical construction in an aviation setting.

Dallas, TX or Plano, TX (Granite Parkway).
