Role Description

The Construction Field/Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Eugene, OR. This position oversees landscape construction projects from start to finish, coordinating crews, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed to company standards and client expectations. Daily tasks include reading plans, organizing materials and equipment, directing field staff, performing hands-on construction work, and monitoring job site safety and quality. The role collaborates with designers and project managers, communicates with clients on-site, tracks progress and costs, and helps resolve issues that arise during installation. The Construction Field/Lead is expected to maintain a professional presence on job sites and support a positive, safety-conscious team culture.

Qualifications

• Construction and Inspection skills to manage field work, ensure quality, and maintain safe, compliant job sites.
• Architecture and plan-reading skills to interpret designs, layouts, and specifications for landscape construction projects.
• Budgeting skills to help track labor, materials, and project costs and support efficient use of resources.
• Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) to assist with documentation, scheduling, reporting, and communication.
• Experience leading crews or teams in construction, landscaping, or a related field.
• Knowledge of landscape construction techniques, equipment operation, and basic site layout practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to coordinate multiple tasks on active job sites.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions; valid driver’s license preferred.
