Job summary

TYLin is seeking a construction/field engineer to join our PMCM team for an upcoming electrical project. The role focuses on field reviews, drawing verification, data collection, and coordination with inspectors and contractors to support scheduling and budgets.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background with electrical exposure, plus 1+ years in construction office engineering. EIT is a plus, and familiarity with field data analysis is valued.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred with an electrical background.
  • 1+ years of construction office engineer experience is required.
  • EIT Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

  • Prepare project data for schedules, assist in preparing schedules and budgets in order to monitor progress reports.
  • Assist in change orders negotiations with contractors.
  • Review contractor invoicing to verify quantities and enter contractor invoices into Client’s online system.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Previous infrastructure construction experience with a city agency such as MNR is a plus
  • Requires knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple contractors and trades at one time in the field.
  • Knowledge of meeting construction schedules and budgets.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $86,900- $110,300 annually for this position and local market.
