Thompson Thrift in North Charleston is seeking a Field Engineer to support on-site construction operations for multifamily development projects. You will coordinate with project teams to ensure that construction activities align with quality, safety standards, and remain on schedule.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with at least one year of construction experience. This role requires flexibility, commitment to safety, and a collaborative mindset.
Our projects span the U.S., offering opportunities to learn, lead, and advance. This travel-based role requires flexibility and relocation. Field Engineers typically work on projects for about two years before moving to new assignments. While we aim to keep projects regional, business needs may require relocation anywhere in the country. As a Field Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting on‑site construction operations for multifamily development projects. Working closely with project leadership, you’ll help ensure construction activities stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards.
This is a highly visible, hands‑on role offering exposure to all phases of the construction process. If you enjoy being in the field, collaborating with trade partners, and solving problems in real time, this role provides an excellent foundation for a long‑term career in construction management.
