Job summary

Thompson Thrift in Indianapolis is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our on-site team and support the Project Manager in delivering multifamily construction projects on time and within budget.

You will coordinate activities, review documentation, interpret plans, manage subcontractor communications, and uphold high safety and quality standards across the project lifecycle while collaborating with internal teams and traveling to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of construction experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Documentation management: assist in punch list management, review invoices, and maintain essential project documentation.
• Quality assurance: ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Financial analysis: support budget management and conduct financial reviews to ensure project adherence to financial goals.
• Plan interpretation: accurately interpret and communicate project plans to subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications.

Your Role as Construction Project Engineer

As the Construction Project Engineer, you’ll be an integral member of our construction team, collaborating closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of multifamily construction projects.
