Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Construction Administrator for our Austin, TX area to support project delivery through contract administration, documentation, and field coordination across the construction lifecycle.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings, coordinate MEP communications, and maintain logs to ensure alignment with design intent and schedule.

Qualifications

• . Bachelor's degree or higher in CM/engineering/architecture or equivalent experience
• . 3+ years of construction administration on commercial/industrial projects (MEP coordination preferred)
• . Regular site visits and ability to interface with superintendents/subcontractors
• . Knowledge of AIA/owner agreements; submittal, RFI, change order processes
• . Proficient with Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360 and MS Office/Bluebeam

• Serve as central contract administration: prepare, track, maintain contracts, subcontracts, amendments, and insurance docs
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; review, route, track, and expedite responses
• Coordinate MEP trade communication and field implementation with design intent and schedule
• Maintain project logs: daily reports, RFI/submittal logs, change orders, punch lists, minutes
• Support schedule maintenance by coordinating with superintendents and subs to resolve field issues

Title:Construction Administrator - MEP Firm
Location:Austin, TX 78746
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 + Potential Bonus

Founded in the early 2000s, we are a 100 employee firm with roughly 25-30 employees based in our Austin office. We provide full service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering solutions for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Our portfolio spans K12 and higher education campuses, healthcare clinics, corporate and government facilities, and performing arts and sports recreation centers. At this location, the focus is on delivering safe, code compliant, and cost effective systems integrated into multidisciplinary building designs. The Construction Administrator will support project delivery by managing contract administration, documentation, and field coordination throughout the construction lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing

• Serve as the central point for contract administration: prepare, track, and maintain contracts, subcontracts, amendments, and insurance documentation
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and shop drawing workflows - review for completeness, route to design team, track status, and expedite responses
• Coordinate MEP trade communication and field implementation to ensure system installations align with design intent and schedule
• Maintain and update project logs and records including daily reports, RFI and submittal logs, change order logs, punch lists, and meeting minutes
• Support schedule maintenance by coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors to identify and resolve field issues affecting progress

What You Need for this Position

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience or Associate's degree with five or more years relevant experience
• 3+ years of construction administration experience on commercial or industrial projects - MEP coordination strongly preferred
• Proven field experience and ability to perform regular site visits - comfortable interfacing with superintendents and subcontractors
• Working knowledge of construction contract documents such as AIA and owner agreements, submittal, RFI, change order processes, and closeout procedures
• Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360 and MS Office or Bluebeam experience preferred
