Job summary

Kirschner Contractors in Hawaii seeks a Construction Field Clerk to support field documentation, reporting, and office coordination at project sites. You will prepare daily reports, track RFIs and submittals, and help maintain organized files.

This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage ($25/hr+ DOE), bonuses, and benefits. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in construction admin, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work in both field and office environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic familiarity with project management software (Procore, SharePoint, or similar preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (field work required).

  • Assist with document control processes including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and correspondence tracking.
  • Maintain organized project files (electronic and hard copy) in accordance with company and client standards.
  • Support timekeeping, crew tracking, and basic cost coding as directed.
  • Coordinate material delivery logs, inspection records, and safety documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine field-to-office communication.
  • Assist with photo documentation and progress photo organization.
  • Help prepare pay application support packages and closeout documentation.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support project success.
