Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment in Salt Lake City is seeking an Estimator to blend precision with creativity, helping shape communities through accurate cost forecasts for commercial, civil, industrial, and multifamily projects.

Your day will include preparing detailed cost estimates, reviewing plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and evaluating bids while collaborating with project teams and supporting value engineering and proposals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and bid preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software and industry technology.
• Experience using tools such as Bluebeam, OST, Sage Estimating, Procore, or similar platforms.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial, civil, industrial, or multifamily construction projects.
• Reviewing plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Performing quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction teams.
• Identifying potential project risks and opportunities before construction begins.
• Assisting in budgeting, value engineering, and scope development.
• Maintaining historical cost databases and market pricing information.
• Participating in bid reviews and project handoff meetings.
• Supporting business development efforts through accurate and competitive proposals.
