Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings and mentally model the jobsite in 3D.
• Strong intuition for budget overruns and cost creep.
• Detail-oriented with focus on essential details.
• Fluency in cost breakdowns, scope definitions, and subcontractor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Dissect plans, specs, and drawings to identify costs and risks.
• Build detailed cost estimates that anticipate and defend against chaos.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Hunt down pricing data, labor costs, and material rates.
• Identify risks before they materialize.
• Turn uncertain concepts into buildable, profitable plans.
