Job summary

Mignone Design-Build in Las Vegas, NV, is hiring a Construction Estimator for a full-time, in-office role. You will prepare budgets, takeoffs, and bid packages for commercial and residential projects, reviewing drawings and specs to identify risks and opportunities.

You will work with leadership, PMs, architects, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimates, guide value engineering, and meet bid deadlines. Proficiency in Excel and estimating tools is required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of construction estimating or related cost experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs across trades.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and pricing labor, material, and subs.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with estimating software.
• Experience with restaurant, retail, office, hospitality, tenant improvement, or mixed-use projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid packages for commercial and residential projects.
• Review drawings, specs, addenda, and site conditions for scope and cost drivers.
• Develop clear scopes of work by trade and issue bid invitations to subcontractors.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor proposals to ensure coverage and competitive pricing.
• Maintain cost models, estimate summaries, bid tabs, and escalation assumptions.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to resolve pricing questions.
• Support value engineering and design assist efforts balancing cost, function, and schedule.
