Job summary

Wehr Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to prepare estimates from contract documents for new construction, additions, and renovations ranging from 100k to upwards of 100M. The role requires assembling quantities, evaluating risks, and coordinating with the bid team.

You will review drawings, gather information, and prepare cost analyses for self-perform work and subcontractor proposals. Travel to job sites and offices is part of the job, with a focus on delivering accurate, timely bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or 2–3 years related experience required.
• High school diploma or GED accepted with related experience.
• Experience in estimating and bidding workflows is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from contract documents for new construction, additions, and renovations.
• Perform quantity take-offs for assigned scopes.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals and costs.
• Recommend bids to VP of Estimating based on risk and costs.
• Attend jobsite and progress meetings as needed.
