Job summary

Jordan Foster Construction seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare detailed project estimates from drawings and specifications. You will assist with bids, communicate scopes of work, and support the Lead Estimator in costing materials, equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, and labor on federal projects.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Marketing, and administrative staff to coordinate contributions into proposals and ensure timely delivery across multiple bids.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Able to read and follow construction documents.
• Proficient in estimating software (BlueBeam, Primavera, MS Excel/Word/Project).

Responsibilities

• Support subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes.
• Process RFPs/RFQs and facilitate bidding announcements.
• Draft, proof, review, and deliver private and public proposals.
• Coordinate contributions from Project Managers, Marketing, and staff into proposals.
• Qualify bids for completeness and compliance.
• Ensure bidding regulations compliance and project goals.
• Develop and present proposals to clients.
• Manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
• Operate estimating systems and software proficiently.
• Implement QA controls to minimize risk and report scope changes to management.
• Identify strategic opportunities to strengthen position on bids.
