Job summary

Gordon Incorporated in Bossier City, LA, seeks an Estimator to join our pre-construction team. You will analyze plans, build accurate cost estimates, and work with Engineering, Project Management and Sales to ensure bids reflect scope and constructability.

You will use Bluebeam, ProEst, RSMeans and CAD tools to estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, while identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• Advanced estimating certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction with bids of varying size.

Responsibilities

• Analyze projects by reviewing plans and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
• Bridge teams between Engineering, Project Management and Sales to align scope and budget.
• Build accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Support bids with technical input, budget guidance and scope clarity.
• Collaborate with design teams to validate intent and constructability.
• Support project handoff ensuring alignment of scope, budget and schedule.
• Identify risks and build contingencies into estimates.
• Find value with cost-saving alternatives and value engineering.
• Track costs, evaluate change orders and flag variances.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and communications.
