Job summary

JRM Construction Management, LLC is seeking a Project Estimator to precisely estimate total project costs and manage bids from concept through construction documents. You will coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and value engineering where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree and/or at least three years of relevant experience in Estimating, Purchasing, or Quantity Surveying.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting commercial construction plans and specs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage the entire bid process with subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed estimates for all design stages from Conceptual to Construction Documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and estimate costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Solicit proposals from subcontractors based on drawings and bid packages.
• Review design documents to ensure accurate pricing and propose value engineering ideas.
• Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers on estimates.
• Maintain client relationships and compile award packages for purchasing.
