  • Draft and issue project-specific Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Define subcontractor/supplier scopes of work as needed.
  • Create preliminary milestone schedules with input from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Qualify and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure coverage and minimize scope gaps.
  • Review geotechnical and engineering reports to identify risks, particularly related to site conditions.
  • Coordinate with project engineers and stakeholders to highlight areas of risk or priority.
  • Communicate critical project elements with the Estimating Manager during the bidding process.
  • Complete required bid forms, bid tabs, and other submission documents.
  • Interact with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to align estimates with project objectives, schedules, permits, and costs.
  • Perform material and quantity takeoffs from project documents.
  • Meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct post-bid/project audits to identify successes, failures, and lessons learned.
  • Support project buyout processes and ensure a smooth handoff to Project Management after award.
  • Document known risks and potential pitfalls for future reference.
