Mitigation Resources Of North America LLC seeks an experienced Construction Earthwork Estimator to bid and coordinate earthwork projects from conception to completion. Employee Type: Regular Mitigation Resources is looking for an experienced Construction Earthwork Estimator. The qualified candidate will be responsible for bidding and coordinating earthwork projects from conception to completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for excavation, grading, and other earth-moving activities by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and site conditions, while factoring in labor, equipment, and material costs. The individual collaborates with engineers, contractors, and clients to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and aids in the management of on-site operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and timelines. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a deep understanding of construction processes are essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing project demands and resolve issues effectively.
Occasionally (0 – 1/3 of workday): walking (copy machine, printer, meetings, filing, visit employees’ office); lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 35 lbs. (closing/opening desk/file cabinet drawers, moving boxes, books, luggage, using dolly/mail cart, opening/closing doors); stooping and crouching (filing/retrieving files); climbing, balancing and reaching (retrieving/placing objects from/to top shelves; stairs, filing, desk/field/map work); depth perception (driving).
Frequently (1/3 – 2/3 of workday): standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching (copy machine, meetings, filing, packing/moving boxes, presentations, drafting, digitizing, fieldwork); sitting (work station, meetings, travel); fingering (keyboard, calculator, paper work, writing, digitizing); grasping (telephone, documents/books/files, digitizing, holding luggage); speaking (discussing assignments/projects/ideas/situations, giving instructions, presentations, meetings, telephone/voice mail); color vision (graphics work); repetitive motion (keyboarding, calculator, drafting, digitizing, writing).
Continually (2/3 – 3/3 of workday): hearing (discussing assignments/projects/ideas/situations, receiving instructions, presentations, meetings, telephone/voicemail); seeing (reading, writing computer/desk work, presentations, site tours).
Requires travel by automobile and/or commercial airlines within the U.S. Long hours are needed for project/bid work.
