Job Details

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to develop competitive bids.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Present estimates to project teams and adjust as needed during planning.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local construction costs and market trends in Michigan is a plus.
