Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate construction cost estimates from concept through final bid
• Develop and manage bid lists for subcontractors and suppliers
• Review plans, specifications, and related documents to develop quantity take-offs and pricing
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and vendors
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop cost-effective solutions
• Maintain a database of cost information for use in future projects
• Present budget and bid packages to clients and internal stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, subcontracting practices, and engineering principles
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Experience with commercial and/or industrial projects
• Familiarity with the local subcontractor market in Plainsboro NJ
