Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator for a North Charleston-based general contractor. The role focuses on preconstruction activities, reviewing drawings, and developing accurate cost estimates for commercial interiors across restaurant, light industrial, higher education, medical and retail sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in estimating or preconstruction within commercial construction.
• Experience with commercial general contractors.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and quantity take-offs.

Location: North Charleston, SC

Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per annum base

Small to mid-sized General Contractor specializing in commercial interiors across the Charleston region. Delivering projects within the restaurant, light industrial, higher education, medical and retail sectors and have built a strong reputation for quality and repeat business.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Construction Estimator to their preconstruction team. The company has ambitious plans to triple in size over the coming years, making this an excellent opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its growth and play a key role in its future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing project drawings, plans and specifications
• Preparing scopes of work within the estimating system
• Completing quantity take-offs
• Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor quotations
• Compiling and packaging final bid proposals and estimates

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in estimating or preconstruction within commercial construction
