Job Title: Estimator – Multifamily Construction

Location: Greater St. Louis, MO Area

Full-Time | General Contractor | Multifamily Projects

Tiello has partnered with a growing and reputable General Contractor in the St. Louis area that is actively looking to hire a Multifamily Estimator. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys collaborating with project teams and helping shape successful projects from the ground up.

Position Overview:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing and managing detailed cost estimates for multifamily construction projects. This includes reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and working closely with preconstruction and project teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Create detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents during bid preparation and project transitions
• Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
• Maintain historical cost data and assist in developing estimating tools and templates
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary

Requirements:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial or multifamily construction
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ground-up multifamily or wood-frame construction
• Familiarity with subcontractor markets and pricing trends in the St. Louis region
• OSHA certifications or formal safety training (a plus but not required)
