BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring seeks an experienced estimator to prepare construction rebuild estimates and market to potential clients, including adjusters and end users. Previous restoration experience and Xactimate software expertise are required.

• Calls on prospects to provide an estimate for rebuild after a loss.
• Reviews project scope and prepares the estimate.
• Reviews estimate with insurance representatives and customer; obtains approvals.
• Maintains communication and coordinates the work schedule with operations.
• Informs local management of issues arising during work.
• Ensures quality issues are resolved and proper payment protocol is followed.
• Follows up with the insurance company/customer until payments are received.
• Prepares status reports on activity, closings, follow-up, and feedback.

Position Summary

Prepares estimates for construction rebuild projects. Markets to potential clients, including adjusters and end users.

NOTE: Previous restoration experience is required, as is Xactimate software expertise.

Essential Functions

• Markets to potential customers, including national accounts, adjusters, end users, etc.
• Establishes a network and vets qualified subcontractors for the various trades.
• Calls on prospects to provide an estimate for the rebuild of the structure after a loss.
• Reviews the project, determines the scope of work to be completed, and prepares an estimate for the project.
• Reviews the estimate and job scope with insurance representatives and the customer. Obtains approval and prepares proper paperwork to begin the project.
• Maintains good communication and coordinates the work schedule with operations personnel until the project is completed.
• Communicates with local management on any issues that may arise during the work of the project.
• Ensures that any quality issues are resolved.
• Is responsible for ensuring that proper protocol is followed in relation to payment arrangements.
• Follows up with the insurance company/customer until all payments are received.
• Prepares a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals; reports on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency with Xactimate estimating software.
• Knowledge of production and processing. Experience with raw material, waste, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing project outcomes.
• Knowledge of building and construction, including materials and methods needed to complete the project successfully.
• Ability to read and understand project specifications, plans, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of design techniques, principles, and tools to complete the project.
• Knowledge of the principles involved in showing, promoting, and selling services.
• Ability to monitor processes and materials.

Compensation

Your compensation will vary by location and experience level. This can be discussed during the first interview.

• Base Pay Maximum: $100000
• Base Pay Minimum: $65000
