Job summary

CONFLUX SYSTEMS in Georgia seeks an experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction estimating for commercial projects, including light industrial, retail, medical, and office buildings. You will develop accurate cost estimates, analyse project documents and coordinate with subcontractors and project teams to deliver competitive bids.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of construction materials and methods, and proficiency with estimating software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, with a general contractor preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial projects including light industrial, retail, medical, and office buildings.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate pricing and develop cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents and design teams during preconstruction.
• Maintain unit cost databases, historical pricing and market trends.
• Recommend value engineering and cost-saving solutions.
• Prepare bid proposals, assist with risk assessments, review project cost impacts and mentor junior estimators.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in commercial construction, cost analysis, and estimating software, with the ability to identify value engineering opportunities and manage multiple bids.

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial projects including light industrial, retail, medical, and office buildings.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate pricing and develop cost breakdowns.

• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Ability to visit job sites as needed with a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
