Job summary

SERVPRO® of Adamstown Mohnton & Reading Township, York City is seeking a Construction Estimator to help homeowners and commercial clients rebuild after fire, water, storm, and mold losses. This role focuses on generating accurate estimates, documenting damages, and coordinating with insurers and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction estimating, strong residential construction knowledge, and proficient communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed residential and commercial reconstruction estimates using Xactimate.
• Perform on-site inspections to document damage and develop repair scopes.
• Negotiate estimates and supplements with insurance adjusters.
• Develop budgets and monitor project profitability.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, mitigation teams, and office staff.
• Ensure estimates comply with local building codes and insurance guidelines.
• Review architectural drawings and specifications when applicable.
• Assist with change orders and supplemental estimates throughout construction.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and communication with customers.
• Help transition projects from mitigation into reconstruction.

As our reconstruction division continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in helping homeowners and commercial clients rebuild after fire, water, storm, and mold losses.

If you have experience estimating insurance restoration projects, negotiating with insurance carriers, and managing project budgets, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do
