Position Overview: As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project planning, budgeting, and pricing process. You will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with construction projects, ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitable. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, familiarity with current construction costs, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze project drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.

- Obtain and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate accurate and timely bids. - Review and interpret construction contracts, specifications, and design documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.

- Collaborate with project managers to understand project scopes and timelines.

- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather relevant information for accurate estimates.

- Keep abreast of industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to enhance estimating practices.

- Prepare and present detailed proposals and reports to management and clients.

- Assist with value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.

- Monitor and adjust estimates throughout the project lifecycle to account for changes in scope, cost fluctuations, and project delays.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator.

- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore Estimating, Bluebeam, or similar tools) and MS Office Suite.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
