Job summary

Reconstruction Experts is seeking an experienced estimator to join our team in the United States. You will develop scopes of work, quantify materials and labor, and obtain competitive quotes for occupied space reconstruction projects.

In this role, you will work closely with clients and account managers to explain estimates, and you may attend pitches to convert estimates to revenue. Procore experience is preferred, with a focus on delivering timely, high-quality bids.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years estimating experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction trades and industry standards.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend site inspections and generate detailed scopes of work using Procore & EB.
• Examine blueprints, specifications, and project documents to understand scope.
• Determine quantities and costs of materials, labor, equipment and subs.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Analyze quotes to ensure market competitiveness.
• Identify potential site hazards during inspections.
• Develop means and methods required to complete projects.
• Ensure work meets SLA standards and communicates estimates to accounts.
• Liaise with clients to explain estimates and scopes of work.
• Attend client pitches to convert estimates to revenue.
• Build and maintain local subcontractor and supplier lists.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish.
• Provide updates using estimating management software.
• Participate in weekly sales/estimating meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend site inspections and generate detailed scopes of work using Procore & EB (experience preferred)
• When provided, carefully examine blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand scope of work
• Determine quantities and costs of all necessary materials, labor, equipment and subcontractors
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
• Analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with current market pricing and determine the most competitive and reliable options
• Identify potential site hazards during inspections
• Contemplate means and methods required to perform the project/work
• Ensure all work meets industry-leading SLA standards. e.g. estimate turnaround times, conversion of estimates into revenue, etc.
• Work closely with account management team to liaise with clients to explain estimates and scopes of work
• Occasionally attend client pitches and presentations to convert estimates to revenue
• Establish and expand local subcontractor and supplier lists/relationships
• Take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish.
• Provide regular communication using estimating management software.
• Attend weekly sales/estimating meeting to ensure conversion of estimates into revenue

Key Selection Criteria

• Minimum 3-5 years' estimating experience
• Proven drive, energy, and motivation.
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
• Desire to potentially work towards a partnership.
• Knowledge of construction trades and industry standards.
• Core Logic Procore experience.
• Prior occupied space reconstruction experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Current motor vehicle license.
