Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Construction Equipment Technician in San Antonio, TX. The role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on a full line of construction equipment, with diagnostic work and adherence to OEM specifications.

You will build strong customer and vendor relationships, read schematics, and communicate effectively with Service and Parts teams. A CDL is preferred or obtainable; overtime and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction equipment repair experience.
• Possession of or ability to obtain Class A CDL.
• Mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on construction equipment.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting for minor and major repairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and factories.
• Perform repairs within established labor time guides.
• Aim for high efficiency while maintaining workmanship quality.
• Create detailed parts and labor repair scopes for quoting.
• Read and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
