Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Construction Equipment Technician to support field and shop operations. In Kansas City, MO, you will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a full line of construction machinery, while building strong relationships with customers, vendors and factory reps.

You will diagnose and troubleshoot both minor and major issues, read schematics and blueprints, and strive for high efficiency with quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Construction Equipment Repair Experience.
• Possession of or ability to obtain Class A CDL.
• Excellent knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on full line of construction equipment.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting for both minor and major repairs.
• Build and maintain customer, vendor and factory relationships.
• Perform repairs within established labor time guides.
• Achieve over 90% efficiency rating while maintaining quality of workmanship.
• Create detailed parts and labor repair scopes for quoting.
• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, technical blueprints, service and parts diagrams.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and communicate well with teams.
• Must be willing to work overtime and be on-call rotating schedule.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on service trucks per DOT regulations.
