Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a national contractor, is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator in Auburn, Alabama. You will operate forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, and other heavy machinery to move materials on construction sites.

Daily responsibilities include equipment inspections, basic maintenance, loading/unloading, and coordinating with site teams to meet deadlines. OSHA safety compliance and ability to read blueprints are required; pre-employment background check will be

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification and/or heavy machinery operator license.
• 3 years’ experience operating forklifts, tele handlers, and related equipment.
• Experience on electrical data center projects is a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety and site rules.
• Ability to read site maps, blueprints, and material handling instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, tele handlers, loaders, and other heavy machinery to move and position construction materials.
• Transport electrical components, tools, and other materials to designated areas across the project site.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal working condition.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and ensure materials are secured and stored.
• Collaborate with construction teams to meet project deadlines and support various phases.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with general construction tasks as required by site supervisors.
