Job summary

The City of Greenville is seeking a ready-to-work individual to operate light to medium construction equipment and perform routine repairs for the Street Division. You will move materials, supervise the crew when needed, and ensure safety on site.

Responsibilities include maintenance, inspections, and coordinating with other departments during events and post-storm cleanup. Valid NC CDL within six months is preferred; a valid NC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience operating light to medium construction equipment is required.
• Six months of supervisory or crew leader experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to medium construction or maintenance equipment on-site.
• Assist crew with manual labor tasks and provide aid to other crews.
• Complete routine maintenance, pre-trip inspections, and report equipment failures.
