Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to work on our site projects across the United States.

You will operate a range of power construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade materials while maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should have at least 3 years of field experience, a valid CDL may be required, and you must be able to read survey stakes, perform basic load calculations, and follow OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
• CDL may be required (Class A or B).
• Annual physical examination may be required.
• May need to pass certification before operating some equipment.
• May be required to pass drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate various power construction equipment to excavate, lift, move, and grade earth with safety and quality in mind.
• Follow OSHA excavation and safety practices and read and interpret survey stakes.
• Direct and assist other workers as needed on site and maintain daily equipment checks.
• Inspect equipment before use and perform minor repairs; maintain radio contact with supervisor.
