Career Opportunities seeks a biological monitor for a large government project in Yuma, AZ. This full-time role involves 40 hours weekly with overtime, field work, and independent operation in varied weather. The candidate will document environmental data and work with diverse teams on a sensitive site.

Responsibilities include daily notes with photos, surveys for species, nesting birds, and coordination with regulators and project staff. Clean driving record required.

Qualifications

• BS in biological sciences or related field.
• Two years of environmental monitoring at construction sites.
• Able to pass a federal background check and drug test.
• Willing to work in inclement weather and in the field daily.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily environmental field notes with photos confirming BMP compliance.
• Collect data, support surveys for listed species, and report to Government POC.
• Conduct pre-construction surveys for nesting birds and listed flora/fauna.
• Mark off avoidance areas to protect sensitive resources.
• Communicate with diverse project personnel, regulators, and stakeholders.
