Job summary

Spire Inc. is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate for an internship across our engineering-related operations. The role offers real-world project exposure and hands-on tasks, including coordination with foremen, municipalities, and engineering firms.

You will gain experience by rotating through assignments and handling essential paperwork and communications. The internship requires a 3.0 GPA, 35–40 hours per week during the summer, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate level student in the fall of 2027 pursuing an engineering degree.
• Must be able to work 35 - 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required with most positions.
• Must participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and Project Poster Symposium.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between various engineering assignments to potentially include the listed duties.
• Assist with correspondence from various foremen and other departments to coordinate projects.
• Prepare paperwork related to gas main and service work and utility agreements.
• Attend utility and pre-construction meetings to discuss improvements and coordination.
• Review design and cost estimates for main and service work and justify proposed work.
• Research legacy asset information and reconcile company records and mapping.
