Job summary

High Tide Oil Company, Inc. in Moody, Alabama is seeking a full-time Construction Engineer to oversee current and future construction projects, guide planning and design, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

You will contribute technical input to drawings, perform cost projections, and manage schedules with the project manager. The role requires strong communication, ability to read mechanical plans, and coordination with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to read and comprehend plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and English literacy.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and adjust schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and design stages of construction projects.
• Provide technical input to project drawings and designs.
• Perform cost calculations and prepare financial projections.
• Prepare work schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
• Coordinate between contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and OSHA.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and logs.
• Present project progress to Corporate Management.
• Develop and analyze technical products and systems; prepare specifications.

Job description

High Tide Oil Company, Inc. is currently hiring for a full time Construction Engineer to oversee and manage all current construction jobs as well as all future construction endeavors.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects
• Contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs
• Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections
• Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager
• Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
• Overseeing construction engineering processes
• Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and OSHA
• Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget
• Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs
• Presenting construction project progress updates to Corporate Management
• Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of technical products and systems
• Performing engineering design evaluations and preparing technical specification drafts
• Provide recommendations for alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
• Create, update, and maintain accurate engineering documentation
• Ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications And Requirements

• Working experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to read and comprehend mechanical and construction plans, drawings and specifications
• Ability to organize, prioritize and adjust schedule to consistently meet deadlines om a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Current and Valid Driver’s License required
