Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an HSE Specialist to support our greater Phoenix construction projects in Arizona. You will coordinate, implement and monitor health, safety and environmental programs across multiple project sites, ensuring compliance with company policies and all regulatory requirements.

This role requires occasional travel, a High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred), and CHST certification where possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• CHST Certification preferred
• OSHA 30 hour preferred
• First Aid, CPR AED preferred
• Self-motivated Leadership skills
• Less than 3 years of experience in construction safety
• Some travel required

Responsibilities

• Periodically conducts comprehensive EHS assessments.
• Recommends corrective measures for unsafe conditions.
• Provides training and education on EHS requirements.
• Coordinates subcontractor EHS protocols and site safety.
• Coordinates project EHS programs with subcontractors.
• Plans and coordinates work to minimize risks and losses.
• Conducts accident investigations and reports incidents.
• Establishes hospital and clinical care facilities for each project.
• Accompanies injured employees for treatment and evaluation.
• Ensures all EHS protocols are followed.
• Advises on Industrial Hygiene protocols; performs Environmental Monitoring.
• Manages Drug-Free Workplace policy and testing.
• Orientation of project employees to EHS practices.
• Provides weekly safety updates to EHS Leadership.
• Manages SPAT process on projects.
