Job summary

SAVI EHS is actively seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support a large-scale construction project in San Jose, CA. The role involves overseeing site-wide safety compliance, leading orientations, training, and high-risk operations with the Construction Manager and leadership team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction EHS, strong communication, and the ability to manage field safety activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction EHS experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage field safety activities, orientations, training, and high-risk operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EHS compliance across the project site.
• Conduct and document daily EHS inspections and audits.
• Deliver site-specific orientations and safety training.
• Support crane activities and other high-risk operations.
• Review DHAs, JHAs, and pre-task planning.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.
• Partner with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with OSHA safety requirements.
• Assist with EHS plans, procedures, and site safety initiatives.
• Identify field hazards and coordinate timely corrective actions.
