Job summary

Haselden Construction in Steamboat Springs, CO seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Supervisor to lead safety on active projects. You will engage directly with craft labor and supervision to identify and mitigate EH&S risks, interpret Haselden safety standards, and drive incident investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities include pre-task planning, safety talks, training, and environmental compliance support, with travel to project locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in commercial construction or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and environmental regulations.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of fall protection, trenching, crane and rigging, confined space, silica, electrical safety, and lockout/tagout.
• Ability to lead investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Stormwater management and SWMP implementation knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read safety plans, drawings, SDSs, and technical docs.
• Procore and MS Office proficiency helpful; OSHA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible field presence and engage with craft labor, foremen, superintendents, and project managers to identify EH&S risks.
• Interpret and apply Haselden safety standards to support safe operations.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments; verify corrective actions.
• Participate in pre-task planning and high-risk activity reviews.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Coach project teams on hazard recognition, planning, and safe work execution.
• Deliver safety talks, orientation, and training.
• Assist environmental compliance efforts, including stormwater management.
• Travel to active project locations as required.
