Job summary

Williams Contracting is seeking a dependable Construction Driver & Field Laborer to join our residential construction team in Olympia, WA. This hands-on role blends driving, material handling, site organization, and general construction support to keep projects moving efficiently.

You will load/unload materials, assist field crews, and maintain clean, safe jobsites while meeting project needs on a full-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a driving record review.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Comfortable performing physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors on active construction sites.
• Comfortable around clients' homes and property.
• Follow instructions and company procedures.
• Verifiable work history and professional references.
• Strong awareness of safety and jobsite cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies between jobsites.
• Load and unload building materials safely and efficiently.
• Help organize materials before and after delivery.
• Keep materials and equipment arriving where needed and assist drivers.
• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally.
• Assist with pickups, deliveries, and field support tasks.
• Assist carpenters and field crews with construction tasks.
• Move and stage materials throughout the jobsite.
• Support site setup and breakdown; maintain clean, safe work areas.
