The Nebraska Department of Transportation's (NDOT) Construction Division is offering an opportunity for a college student interested in furthering their plans, specification, cost estimating and construction knowledge and experience! If you are interested in hands‑on, real‑world experience in a supportive and collaborative team environment,
The selected candidate will track and review roadway, bridge and building plan corrections to verify that they reflect the requested changes. They will be responsible for tracking the submittal and return of plan corrections to the project designer, which will include being in close contact with NDOT designers and consultants. The work involved will be of a broad scope, complexity, and diversity. In addition to the primary responsibility reviewing plan changes, the selected individual will gain experience preparing cost estimating related documentation for the Department and may gain experience with the preparation letting packages, contract time allowance, project final review and other Construction Division responsibilities.
Must be a three‑fourths student in good standing majoring in a discipline or field related to the work to be assigned.
