Job summary

COPT Defense Properties in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from initiation through close-out, coordinating internal teams and external partners to meet scope, schedule and budget.

You will direct contractors, manage design changes, monitor safety and quality, prepare budgets, review bids, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation across the project lifecycle. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with PM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Project Management Certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years of project management experience in commercial construction or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of assigned projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to manage scope and design changes.
• Direct contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers and tenants during construction.
• Monitor progress to ensure safety, schedule and budget targets are met.
• Prepare and review budgets, bids and cost estimates; ensure timely billing and close-out documents.
• Communicate project status and documentation to stakeholders; lead team meetings.
