Job summary

COPT Defense Properties in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction and development initiatives. You will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate internal teams and external partners, and ensure scope, design changes, safety, schedule and budget goals are met.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of five years in project/construction management for commercial properties, strong leadership, communication and budgeting skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in project management, construction management in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural/engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of sustainable development and LEED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of assigned projects.
• Coordinate project team and external partners to manage scope and design changes.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, tenants during construction.
• Monitor project activities ensuring safety, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare and monitor project-related budget and cost estimates.
• Facilitate team meetings and communicate project status.
