Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction Design Coordinator in Wichita, KS. You will review construction schedules, assist with cost estimates and specifications, and complete projects with clear objectives.

You will perform routine engineering tasks using spreadsheets, databases and scheduling software, and may lead small projects or support senior engineers on larger ones. A strong communication skill set and an active participation in our employee-owned culture are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interest and/or experience in the construction field.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews and verifications of construction schedules, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for construction projects.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of spreadsheets, databases and scheduling software
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
