Job summary

ESP Enterprises Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Construction Defect Litigation Associate to join its premier litigation defense firm. You will manage your own docket and handle complex construction defect matters in state and federal courts for developers, contractors, insurers, and commercial clients.

You will work with an experienced team, drafting pleadings and motions, taking depositions, and handling hearings and trials, while maintaining clear communication with clients and carriers.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active Texas Bar license.
• 3–5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Construction defect litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a busy litigation docket.
• Experience practicing in Texas state courts.
• Federal Court admission (USDC) preferred but not required.
• Experience with arbitration proceedings preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and client communication skills.
• Professional, collaborative, and self-motivated work style.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation docket from inception through resolution.
• Handle construction defect litigation matters in state and federal court.

An established AV-rated litigation defense firm with more than 25 years of success in Texas is seeking an experienced Construction Defect Litigation Associate to join its growing Construction Defect practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys managing their own cases while collaborating with an experienced litigation team. You'll work on sophisticated construction defect matters in both Texas state and federal courts representing developers, contractors, insurers, and commercial clients.
