Job summary

The Greenery Inc. in North Charleston, SC, seeks a hardworking crew member to assist in installing and constructing landscaping projects, including irrigation, hardscape, and softscape elements.

This is a physically demanding role requiring teamwork and a strong work ethic under Crew Leaders, Project Supervisors, or Construction Project Managers. You will prepare job sites, install irrigation and drainage, plant and sod, and install patios and walkways while transporting materials.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Greenery safety protocols and procedures.
• Prepare job sites by digging, grading, and leveling.
• Install irrigation systems and drainage solutions.
• Plant and sod installations.
• Install hardscape items such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites.
• Operate and maintain tools and small machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment.
• Support crew leaders and team members to complete projects on time to quality standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

• This role will be performing the following functions:
• Preparing job sites by digging, grading, and leveling
• Installation of irrigation systems and drainage solutions
• Planting and Sodding installations
• Installation of hardscape items such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
• Loading, unloading, and transporting materials to and from job sites
• Operate and maintain tools and small machinery such as skid steers, compactors, and other provided tools and equipment
• Required to maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment
• Support crew leaders and team members in completing projects on time and to Greenery quality standards.

Requirements

Education And Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent desired
• Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with landscape construction tools and equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Outdoor work environment in varying weather conditions.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs and working with tools or machinery.
• Exposure to machinery, dirt, and dust
• May require occasional overtime, including weekends
• May require travel to outside locations and overnight stays
