Position: Construction Crew Member

Pay Range : $12.00-$22.00 / hr. (DOE) On-site

Wildlife Xclusion Services, INC., East Tennessee’s premier experts in wildlife removal and repair, is growing! Since our founding in 2014, we’ve built a reputation for excellence and are now seeking a dedicated team member to join our skilled construction crew. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction repair and be comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces. This role involves repairing structures damaged by wildlife, preventing future wildlife intrusions, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform construction repairs to structures damaged by wildlife.
• Seal entry points and prevent wildlife from re-entering structures.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Handle various building materials and tools appropriately.
• Ensure repairs are effective and aesthetically pleasing.
• Follow safety precautions on construction sites and in customer homes.
• Work independently and manage time effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Transport materials and equipment to job sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Physically able to lift 70 lbs.
• Able to climb and comfortably work at heights greater than 30 feet above ground level.
• A valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn from more experienced craft to become more proficient and knowledgeable.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Demonstrate the ability to finish tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Able to relay and receive information from field management needed for the current project/task.
• Strong work ethic.
• Good attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to stay on task efficiently, safely, and flexibly.
• One week of paid leave is provided after one year of employment

Necessary Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position will require climbing and working from a ladder and/or atop a roof. This position will require working around the foundation and/ or inside the crawl space of structures and/or under porches.Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness and situational awareness. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, crawling, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time. The employee may be required to reach with hands and arms and lift, handle, or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds.

Job is performed in outdoor settings to include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
