Job summary

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of landscaping or construction experience.
• Horticulture knowledge and planting, digging, mulching proficiency preferred.
• Irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage knowledge is a plus.
• Heavy equipment experience a plus (bobcats, excavator, skid-steer).
• Possess a valid driver license with clean driving record is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of landscape elements like plants, trees, sod, mulch and irrigation.
• Perform hardscape tasks such as grading, laying pavers, building walls and edging.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare job sites by clearing debris and measuring layouts.
• Load/unload and organize materials and equipment on-site.
• Follow layout plans and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and report repairs or safety concerns.
• Comply with company policies, safety procedures and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CREW MEMBER DUTIES INCLUDE

• Assisting with the installation of landscape elements such as plants, trees, sod, mulch, and irrigation systems.
• Performing hardscape construction tasks including grading, setting pavers, building retaining walls, and installing edging or decorative stone.
• Operating a variety of hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., trenchers, compactors, skid steers, saws).
• Preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging, grading, and measuring layout areas.
• Loading, unloading, and organizing materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
• Following layout plans and instructions provided by supervisors or crew leaders.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and reporting any repairs or safety concerns promptly.
• Complying with all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A solid work ethic and good teamwork skills
• Skills in various construction techniques and equipment.
• High school degree or GED is preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lb.
• A valid driver license and a clean driving record is a plus.
• Ability to read and write.
• Must have the minimum of 6 months of experience in landscaping or construction.
• Horticulture knowledge and standards of planting, digging, and mulching is preferred.
• Knowledge of irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, and other landscape-related trades is a plus.
• The use of heavy equipment is a plus (i.e. bobcats, excavator, skid-steer loader etc.)

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

• $18.00 - $22.00 based on experience
