Job summary

Rotolo Consultants, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing landscaping and construction team in Houston. You will contribute to diverse on-site tasks, collaborate with colleagues, and support standard maintenance and installation activities.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in landscaping or construction, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to travel. We offer a competitive hourly rate and benefits aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver license is a plus.
• Six months of landscaping or construction experience required.
• Basic reading and writing skills are required.
• Horticulture knowledge is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for work is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a reliable team member on landscaping/construction tasks.
• Operate and assist with equipment to meet grade and alignment specs.
• Prepare surfaces, mix concrete, and finish cement work as needed.
• Install and seal pipes, scaffolding, and related structures.
• Apply coatings and protect surfaces with paints or sealants.

CREW MEMBER DUTIES INCLUDE

• Using your landscaping and/or construction experience and people skills to be an effective team member.
• Successfully working in different weather conditions (heat, cold etc.)
• Using bolts, nails, aligns, and blocks up under forms.
• Signaling operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
• Leveling earth to fine grade specifications. Mixing concrete.
• Smooths and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete. Positions, joins, aligns, and seals pipe sections.
• Erecting scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Moping, brushing, and/or spreading paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection.
• Spraying materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
• Applying caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices.
• Grinding, sanding, and/or polishing surfaces such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring.
• Demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, and cutting and attaching insulating material.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A solid work ethic and good teamwork skills
• Skills in various construction techniques and equipment.
• High school degree or GED is preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lb.
• A valid driver license and a clean driving record is a plus.
• Ability to read and write.Must have the minimum of 6 months of experience in landscaping or construction.
• Horticulture knowledge and standards of planting, digging, and mulching is preferred.
• Knowledge of irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, and other landscape-related trades is a plus.
• The use of heavy equipment is a plus (i.e. bobcats, excavator, skid-steer loader etc.)
• Must be able to travel.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

• Hourly payrates starting at $17.50/hour
• Per diem compensation for remote projects.
