Job summary

Rotolo Consultants, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Landscape Crew Member to join a fast-growing team. You will perform landscape maintenance across industrial, commercial, and public sites, operating lawn-care equipment safely and following established designs.

You will mulch, plant, prune, and care for plant material, work with team members to meet project goals, and help keep properties neat and inviting through diligent maintenance and timely service.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape or related industry.
• Ability to operate landscape tools such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Knowledge of horticulture and plant maintenance practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial landscaping equipment safely to maintain properties.
• Follow designs to lay sod, plant, mulch.
• Care for lawns: mulching, aerating, weeding, edging.
• Plant seeds and shrubs with proper mulching.
• Collect litter and maintain cleanliness.
• Work as part of a team to meet project requirements.

AS A LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBER

You will create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. You will safely operate commercial-grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

CREW MEMBER DUTIES INCLUDE

• Operating vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
• Caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
• Using hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Pruning or trimming trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Gathering and removing litter.
• Raking, mulching, and composting leaves.
• Following planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
• Planting seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.

QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR

• Previous experience in landscape or similar industry.
• Knowledge and ability to use landscape-related tools (i.e. mowers, trimmers, blowers. etc.)
• Horticulture knowledge and standards of pruning, planting, digging, and mulching.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are a plus.
