Job summary

Matrix Project Services is seeking a construction helper to support skilled workers and foremen on job sites in California. You will assist in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, climbing, and occasional overtime. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively, work at height, and pass safety-sensitive requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.
• Must be able to work in pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to do frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment.
• Must be able to perform safety sensitive duties.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from a skilled worker or foreman to assist crew in construction duties and handle materials, tools, equipment, and products.
• Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
• Unload materials such as tools, equipment, and sand from freight cars and trucks, manually or with a hand truck.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ready for use.
• Remove debris from roadways and work areas and maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
