Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree is required.
• Active California bar membership (ABA/local) required.
• 5–10 years of litigation and dispute resolution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, and create construction contracts and related agreements that protect from liability and payment issues.
• Provide legal counsel by analyzing clients' situations, defining needs, and determining strategy and course of action.
• Prepare legal documents such as correspondence, motions, pleadings, briefs, and claims for clients.
• Resolve construction claims and disputes to avoid litigation where possible.
• Mediate, negotiate, arbitrate, litigate, and argue motions in court on behalf of clients.
• Supervise administrative staff and paralegals; coordinate client billing, meetings, and wrap-up of case projects.
