Job summary

Ryan Homes, an NVR brand, seeks a Financial Cost Manager to deliver financial and operational expertise for the homebuilding division in Carmel, IN. You will support the Division Manager by controlling construction costs and divisional profitability, and work with Production to ensure budgets are met.

You will drive cost control across plans and options, oversee cost variances, and push process improvements while coordinating with regional and corporate peers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, costing, planning or economic analysis.
• Able to convert financial analysis into actionable operational recommendations.
• Proficiency in budgeting and negotiating with stakeholders.
• Strong problem analysis and communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Experience in large manufacturing or real estate companies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division Manager in analyzing and controlling construction costs and maximizing profits.
• Manage a cost control system that measures costs and variances and projects operating results.
• Collaborate with divisional, regional and corporate peers to improve costs, profitability and methods.
• Initiate negotiations with sub-contractors to maximize value, quality and delivery.
• Update and maintain sales pricing and cost information for active and future communities.
• Project costs for new home designs and product offerings as part of the Division plan.
• Review plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methods.
